Yes, I'm Still Here...

Just haven't had time to post, or even think about it. I've done a little knitting, too. I haven't felt like working on a big project, so I'm working on some squares for the Great American Afghan, which was very popular a few years ago. As usual, I'm behind the times. I'm so not trendy! I was going to take a picture of it, but it seems to have disappeared. I think it's mixed in the with Christmas gifts I have to wrap.

On the home front, David got his hard cast off two weeks ago, and has a removable cast, which should come off this Tuesday. He'll be so happy to get off crutches, finally! On the other hand, one of my other sons has been in the hospital since late last week. After some final tests, which we hope are tomorrow, he should be released, and can get back to studying for finals. That's the plan, at least. I've been going up to the hospital every day, and everything else, including Christmas, has been put on hold until I know he's ok.

Happy Birthday..

One Reason to Avoid Mosh Pits...
To my accident-prone son David, seen here on crutches. Had his tonsils out in July, an automobile accident in September, and in late October, went to an all day concert, was in the mosh pit, and got kicked in the ankle. Upshot of that was surgery, five pins, and a plate in his ankle, and several weeks in a cast and crutches. Here's hoping the next year is better for him.

Saturday sky here. I've been working a lot lately (what else is new?), and I didn't wake up today til after three. I had a choice of the sunset or the moonrise. Couldn't make up my mind, so I did both.

And, sad to say, there has been no actual knitting here at chez Knitting at Night. I haven't had the time or the motivation. Right now, I'm busy getting ready for Christmas. Last year, between two jobs and my last semester at school, I don't think I got any decorations up at all, except for the tree and a single strand of lights outside. So far, I've got the large lights up outside, and the door lights. I'll do the windowboxes later in the week. And, I'll get the lights up on the stair railing in the hallway, too. I think I'll try to get in some knitting, too, but I think serious knitting is going to have to wait until after Christmas.
