Anal Retentive? Who, me??

Well, I almost finished my Cherry Tree Hill socks for Soctoberfest. I started the second sock of the pair on Saturday night, and knitted like a fiend. By Monday afternoon I was working on the heel flap. All was well. That is, until I checked my progress by putting this sock up against its finished mate. Uh-oh. That's when I noticed that the hem for the picot edging was a full three rows short of the first sock. Crap. I tried to ignore it, and kept on knitting on the heel flap, but after a few rows, I knew I couldn't live with it and frogged it. So ended my knitting for the night. And, as luck would have it, I worked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, so I didn't make much progress. I am, however, turning the heel. I work tonight and tomorrow night, so maybe on Monday or Tuesday, I'll be done.

Here's my Saturday Sky picture for today. We have a beautiful blue autumn sky today, along with beautiful, not-terribly-chilly temps. Really nice. Earlier this week, it was in the high 60's, and I opened all the windows again. I love fresh air. We had a storm a couple of nights after that. I was coming home from an on-call assignment at 4 am, and it was like driving on ice. The roads were covered with wet, slippery leaves.

I have been rummaging around in the UFO pile. It's time to start working on some warmer sweaters again. This is a sleeve of a Philosopher's Wool sweater.
I started making this for myself, and then realized the colors, while wonderful, weren't really for me. Chris loved it, so it will go to him. I have one in greens, greys, purples, and navy that I'm making for myself.

Been doing a little stash enhancement lately. I have a new philosophers wool kit in beautiful blues and lavendars, which, as you can see, Gremlin also loves. I guess the colors complement his fur.
I have some more Cherry Tree Hill for socks, too. One of the pictures really didn't come out at all - the colors are nowhere near real life, so I'll do that in my next post.
