Remnants of Hurricane Noel Passing by Long Branch, NJ, 11-3-07
For the Photo Finish Water theme on Cat Patches.
Taken in November 2007, as the remnants of Hurricane Noel passed by the Jersey Shore. We were on the deck of The Avenue restaurant in Long Branch, NJ. The steps to the beach were leading directly into the ocean!

The ocean is always impressive but even more so during a storm. Great shot!
Love the ocean shot! The ocean is such a great subject. We lived in the Gulf Coast for a few years and the beach was one of my favorite places to photograph.
What a dramatic shot!
I'm glad we don't have many storms like that here in California...

Oh interesting! I lived in North Carolina when I was a little girl. We went through Hurricane Donna, which was a bad one in the early sixties. I'll never forget going outside and seeing all the damage. Our house was fine, but a lot of people weren't. My mother wore blisters on her fingers from wringing water out of rags. The water was seeping in around the windows.
Thanks for posting to Foto Finish.
